Noël Rouge by Luminous Fiber Arts DIGITAL PDF Pattern
I love red and white Christmas decor for its beautiful simplicity. I recently had a yen to stitch something that felt classic and comforting, so I turned to that red and white color palette and took inspiration from my love of weaving and fair isle knitting. My intention was only to design one ornament, but I had so much fun that I couldn't stop there!
Pattern includes: ornament, pillow, a version of the stocking with no name on it, a version of the stocking with a name on it, an alphabet to change the name, a template for 32 count and 40 count stockings, and detailed stocking finishing instructions. The stocking is lined and can be used to hold small gifts if desired.
Stitch Count: Ornament: 51H x 59W, Pillow: 58H x 87W, Stocking: 120H x 74W (stitches)
Models: Stitched using one strand of floss over two fabric threads on 40 count White linen by Zweigart. Mini pom pom trim is Brickhouse from Lady Dot Creates.
Floss:
Classic Colorworks: Ribbon Red
I used two skeins to stitch all three models. To stitch all three pieces, I would estimate that you need to add a skein for each count lower (36 count would likely require 3 skeins, 32 count--4, 28 count--5).
These pieces would also be beautiful stitched on other fabric colors or in other floss colors. Last photo is stitched on 32 Sparrow linen by Luminous Fiber Arts.
Pattern includes conversion to DMC.
